Abstract

This bibliometric study focused on school management in public educational institutions. Using a qualitative design, several databases were searched, selecting 20 relevant articles from the last 5 years. The methodology included eligibility and exclusion criteria, evidence quality assessment and documentary analysis with tools such as Zotero and Atlas.ti. The bibliometric results revealed emerging categories and frequency of keywords rooted in the documents. The discussion addressed key dimensions of school management, while current challenges included decentralization and adaptation to virtual education. In conclusion, school management involves planning, organization and direction to ensure equity and continuous improvement, highlighting significant challenges in financing and ICT implementation in a post-pandemic context.
