The Information and Communication Technologies - ICT influenced the educational service, allowing the interaction of students in virtual learning environments. The present study was developed in a particular university in Piura, Peru, and considered students of Business Law who were interacting for the first time in a virtual learning environment, this university was selected for its infrastructure and technology. The research objective was to identify the student’s profile based on the use of an analytical rubric. The methodology was based on the qualitative approach, action-research, analytical-synthetic and participant observation methods. It was obtained as a result that the teacher’s motivation encourages students to act responsibly and there are indications for research on tele-education. It was concluded that the student’s characteristics are voluntary participation, empathy, responsibility, creativity, willingness to learn, innovation, self-discipline, interaction with peers and respect.
