Abstract Introduction: The paradigms of Scientific Research from classical to emerging Objective: Identify the set of current knowledge that is applied to scientific research and educational processes Methods: Theoretical review of an exploratory and descriptive nature on the subject Results: 4 paradigm visions are described, positivism, interpretive, social and emerging. Conclusion: It is concluded that each paradigm is applied according to the object of study and purposes of scientific research.
