Abstract
MEDINA, Klaus. Play and you'll know who you are. Rev Cien Cult [online]. 2016, vol.20, n.37, pp.185-201. ISSN 2077-3323.
The article describes the theoretical model of games proposed by Roger Caillois, with the aim of suggesting their analytical application to current societies. The four categories of the model, called Agon, Alea, Mimicry and Ilinx, and their possible combinations, apply to different contemporary spheres of life, emphasizing the danger of their corruption in asocial forms. Finally, as an example, two analytical applications are carried out on the topics of the literature and folkloric expressions.
