Unemployment is one of the most important social problems for any country or region, considering the effects that this situation brings to the individuals involved, for companies or institutions and society in general, so understanding the characteristics presented unemployment becomes complex but necessary to know, so much so that this situation can be analyzed from different areas of knowledge or perspectives, and in each case a great contribution to the problem. Thus, the present study provides an overview of this reality but from the perspective of what lives, ie, the look of unemployment seen by people who are unemployed, whereas in the study different aspects as some general data on unemployment allows you to frame the problem, the description of public policies aimed at reducing the problem, the different demographic characteristics that these people, alternative solutions, means used in the job search, characteristics sought in employment, unemployment rates, main factors involved in obtaining employment and ultimately effects of this situation in the family and the person
