This work consists of a documentary review that analyzes relevant aspects of the spread of false news during the pandemic and its effect on mental health. The impact of seeing and hearing the news in times of pandemic, the changes adopted in daily life, the lack of confidence in watching the news on television and on social networks. The prisma methodology is used to document the information, taking into account inclusion and exclusion criteria regarding false news in times of pandemic. Sixteen articles from specialized databases and institutional repositories are analyzed, specifically Web of Science and Scopus. The results show that the dissemination of false news (fake news) influences having more mental health problems; among them, increased anxiety, depression and stress.
