OJALVO S., José Carlos; VARGAS V., Sergio  e  GARCIA F., Willman. Prototype of disinfection system against COVID-19 through UV- C light at the Universidad Catolica Boliviana-Campus Cochabamba. RevActaNova. [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.1, pp.40-50.  Epub 31-Mar-2023. ISSN 1683-0789.  https://doi.org/10.35319/acta-nova.202315.

After 2 years of confinement due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19, for the return to face-to-face classes, the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo Sede Cochabamba developed a portable disinfection system using UV-C light that uses a PIR movement sensor, the which is connected to the ESP32 development board that controls two relay modules: a solid state one that turns the lamp on and off and another electromechanical one that controls an electric lock while the disinfection process is active. To have real-time monitoring, a bot is integrated into the Telegram application. The ESP32 board connects to the Internet through WiFi. There is a server configured in the cloud through the AWS provider. Within it, a Mosquitto server is implemented, which is the MQTT communication protocol broker to work with the Node-RED development tool and integrate a graphical interface capable of controlling the system remotely and from anywhere in the world. Tests were carried out in different environments of the university; The validation of the system and the disinfection was done through photosensitive papers that vary their hue according to the incidence of UV-C light they have and with the analysis of surfaces in a clinical laboratory. Both methods validated the functionality of the system.
