Abstract

ROQUE YUJRA, Raúl  and  TRIVENO VARGAS, Francisco Javier. Performance and Robustness of the Response of an AVR with Optimized PID Using the Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA). RevActaNova. [online]. 2022, vol.10, n.3, pp.303-317.  Epub Apr 31, 2022. ISSN 1683-0789.

This work presents the analysis of the behavior, performance and robustness of the closed loop control system of an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) through a dependent type PID controller (ANSI/ISA), where the proportional, integral and derivative gains are tuned using two methods, the metaheuristic optimization method called the Sine-Cosine Algorithm and the Ziegler- Nichols last-gain method. The models of the AVR and the controller are presented, simulations are carried out using the MatLab-Simulink® software. Finally, simulation results between the two methods presented are provided.

Keywords : AVR; PID; Optimization; Seno-Coseno Algorithm.
