Abstract This article presents the result of three dierent methodologies that estimate the π value using the Monte Carlo’s simulation: the comparative area’s method, the method proposed by Buffon and the Laplace’s extension. The three cases were developed in Python - a high level language and Numpy library which give it an optimized performance. The non-deterministic result of the simulations was studied in detail and it was shown that they comply with the fundamental theorems of probability.
