El objetivo del estudio es analizar las actitudes hacia la diversidad en estudiantes universitarios, así como los factores que las condicionan. Se empleó un enfoque mixto con diseño secuencial explicativo para examinar las actitudes hacia cinco dimensiones de diversidad: cultural, socioeconómica, sexual y de género, etaria, y necesidades educativas especiales (NEE). En la fase cuantitativa participaron 265 estudiantes que respondieron una escala tipo Likert; en la cualitativa, se realizó un grupo focal con representantes de las distintas facultades. Los resultados muestran una actitud general positiva hacia la diversidad (M = 4,19; DE = 19,81), con mayor aceptación hacia las NEE (M = 4,63; DE = 1,83) y menor hacia la diversidad etaria (M = 3,69; DE = 3,16). Se encontraron diferencias significativas según la facultad de origen (&#967;² = 17,698; p = .001), destacando la Facultad de Educación con actitudes más favorables (98,1%), mientras que el año de formación mostró variaciones mínimas. El análisis cualitativo reveló que, aunque se declara una disposición favorable, persisten formas implícitas de discriminación. Estos hallazgos orientan hacia la promoción de acciones institucionales para fortalecer una educación superior inclusiva más equitativa y transversal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Diversity in university settings represents a fundamental challenge for inclusive higher education. The objective of this study is to analyze university students' attitudes toward diversity, as well as the factors that shape them. A mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design was used to examine attitudes toward five dimensions of diversity: cultural, socioeconomic, sexual and gender diversity, age diversity, and special educational needs (SEN). The quantitative phase involved 265 students who responded to a Likert-type scale; the qualitative phase involved a focus group with representatives from the different faculties. The results show a generally positive attitude toward diversity (M = 4.19; SD = 19.81), with greater acceptance toward SEN (M = 4.63; SD = 1.83) and less acceptance toward age diversity (M = 3.69; SD = 3.16). Significant differences were found based on the faculty of origin (&#967;² = 17.698; p = .001), with the Faculty of Education showing the most favorable attitudes (98.1%), while the year of training showed minimal variations. The qualitative analysis revealed that, although a favorable disposition is declared, implicit forms of discrimination persist. These findings guide the promotion of institutional actions to strengthen more equitable and transversal inclusive higher education.]]></p></abstract>
