El estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar los niveles del síndrome de burnout en estudiantes de la Universidad Privada San Carlos SAC universitarios, durante la pandemia en la región Puno en Perú. En el estudio participaron 162 estudiantes de los cuales el 42% son varones (n = 68) y el 58% son mujeres (n = 94), la edad promedio fue de 29,41 (± 8,12) años. En el estudio se utilizó el inventario de Maslach. Los estudiantes solteros presentaron una mayor prevalencia de síndrome de burnout que los casados. Existe una mayor prevalencia de cansancio emocional en los estudiantes cuyas edades son menores de 30 años. El síndrome de burnout afectó la salud mental de la población estudiantil, durante la Pandemia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic had an adverse influence on education, especially since it began with the temporary closure of universities in Peru and the world. The aim of the study was to identify the levels of burnout syndrome in students of the Universidad Privada San Carlos SAC during the pandemic in the Puno region of Peru. A total of 162 students participated in the study, of which 42% were male (n = 68) and 58% were female (n = 94), the average age was 29.41 (± 8.12) years. The Maslach inventory was used in the study. Single students presented a higher prevalence of burnout syndrome than married students. There is a higher prevalence of emotional exhaustion in students whose ages are less than 30 years. Burnout syndrome affected the mental health of the student population during the Pandemic.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO A pandemia da COVID-19 teve uma influência adversa na educação, especialmente porque começou com o fechamento temporário de universidades no Peru e no mundo. O estudo teve como objetivo identificar os níveis da síndrome de burnout em alunos da Universidad Privada San Carlos SAC durante a pandemia na região de Puno, no Peru. Um total de 162 alunos participou do estudo, sendo 42% do sexo masculino (n = 68) e 58% do sexo feminino (n = 94), com idade média de 29,41 (± 8,12) anos. O inventário de Maslach foi usado no estudo. Os alunos solteiros apresentaram maior prevalência da síndrome de burnout do que os alunos casados. Há uma maior prevalência de exaustão emocional em estudantes com menos de 30 anos de idade. A síndrome de burnout afetou a saúde mental da população estudantil durante a pandemia.]]></p></abstract>
