Due to their skin human affinity, oils and fat ingredients are essential components. Fats are mainly found in liquid dispersed forms, powders and solid forms of makeup such as emulsions, lotions, serums, lipsticks, eyeshadows or mascaras. If the petrochemistry led to the emergence of new define and neutral compounds, recent changes in consumption show an increased interest in sustainable substances of natural origin. This article focuses on vegetable oils, butters, waxes, fatty alcohols and esters of natural origin. It describes the main currently used vegetable fats in cosmeticology, their chemistry, impact within formulas, properties and their contribution to cosmetic efficacy.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Las formulaciones cosméticas para el cuidado de la piel y el maquillaje son generalmente mezclas complejas y todos sus componentes influyen en su eficacia. Debido a su afinidad con la piel humana, los aceites y los ingredientes grasos son componentes esenciales. Las grasas se encuentran principalmente en formas líquidas dispersas, polvos y formas sólidas de maquillaje como emulsiones, lociones, sueros, barras de labios, sombras de ojos o máscaras. Si la petroquímica condujo a la aparición de nuevos compuestos definidos y neutros, los cambios recientes en el consumo muestran un mayor interés en las sustancias sostenibles de origen natural. Este artículo se centra en los aceites vegetales, mantequillas, ceras, alcoholes grasos y ésteres de origen natural. Describe los principales utilizados actualmente en cosmetología, su química, impacto dentro de las fórmulas, propiedades y su contribución a la eficacia cosmética.]]></p></abstract>
