El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar la producción científica sobre el software multimedia en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes de educación básica, tomando como referencia los artículos publicados en las bases de datos Scopus, WOS y PubMed en una década (2013-2023). La investigación fue desarrollada bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño longitudinal retrospectivo y un alcance descriptivo. Como resultado, se obtuvo una muestra de 26 artículos relevantes, distribuidos en Scopus, Web of Science y PubMed. El análisis destacó a Axelsson y Andersson como los autores más prolíficos, con 18 citaciones globales cada uno. Las revistas destacadas son Computers y Education, Journal of Computer Assisted Learning y Journal of Educational Psychology. El análisis bibliométrico reveló una tendencia positiva en la producción científica sobre software multimedia educativo para la educación básica, con un período de alta actividad investigadora entre 2019 y 2022, y una posible disminución en 2023.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education has become a crucial resource for students, allowing a constant transformation of the educational process. The objective of this research is to analyze the scientific production on multimedia software in the learning of elementary school students, taking as reference the articles published in the Scopus, WOS and PubMed databases over a decade (2013-2023). The research was developed under a quantitative approach, with a retrospective longitudinal design and a descriptive scope. As a result, a sample of 26 relevant articles was obtained, distributed in Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed. The analysis highlighted Axelsson and Andersson as the most prolific authors, with 18 global citations each. The highlighted journals are Computers y Education, Journal of Computer Assisted Learning and Journal of Educational Psychology. The bibliometric analysis revealed a positive trend in scientific production on educational multimedia software for elementary education, with a period of high research activity between 2019 and 2022, and a possible decrease in 2023.]]></p></abstract>
