Objetivo. Evaluar el efecto de la estrategia de cloración de agua en la calidad de vida. Materiales y métodos. La metodología empleada en esta investigación se basa en un enfoque analítico y deductivo, utilizando un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal. Se llevó a cabo una investigación aplicada con una población de 300 usuarios de agua potable en la localidad de Macusani, seleccionando una muestra aleatoria simple de 73 usuarios. La confiabilidad del instrumento de recolección de datos, una encuesta, fue evaluada mediante el coeficiente Alpha de Cronbach, obteniendo un valor de 0.893, lo que indica una alta confiabilidad. Resultados. Los resultados obtenidos a través de la prueba de Chi Cuadrado, con un nivel de significancia del 1%, demuestran que la estrategia de cloración del agua tiene efectos directos en la calidad de vida. Específicamente, se observa que el valor x2Crítico &gt; x2Tablas, lo que confirma que la cloración impacta tanto en la calidad de vida objetiva como subjetiva. Conclusión. Se confirma que la estrategia de cloración del agua tiene un impacto directo en la calidad de vida de los habitantes de Macusani. El 75% de los usuarios de agua potable en los barrios Jorge Chávez, Túpac Amaru y Cenepa considera que la desinfección del agua, implementada con el apoyo del Ministerio de Vivienda, ha sido beneficiosa]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Access to water is a primary need, but gaps in access to quality sources persist. Objective. To evaluate the effect of the water chlorination strategy on quality of life. Materials and methods. The methodology used in this research is based on an analytical and deductive approach, using a non-experimental cross-sectional design. An applied research was carried out with a population of 300 drinking water users in the town of Macusani, selecting a simple random sample of 73 users. The reliability of the data collection instrument, a survey, was evaluated using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, obtaining a value of 0.893, indicating high reliability. Results. The results obtained through the Chi Square test, with a significance level of 1%, demonstrate that the water chlorination strategy has direct effects on quality of life. Specifically, it is observed that the value x2Crítico &gt; x2Tablas, which confirms that chlorination impacts both objective and subjective quality of life. Conclusion. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO O acesso à água é uma necessidade primária, mas ainda existem lacunas no acesso a fontes de qualidade. Objetivo. Avaliar o efeito da estratégia de cloração da água na qualidade de vida. Materiais e métodos. A metodologia utilizada nesta pesquisa baseia-se numa abordagem analítica e dedutiva, utilizando um delineamento transversal não experimental. Foi realizada uma pesquisa aplicada com uma população de 300 usuários de água potável na cidade de Macusani, selecionando uma amostra aleatória simples de 73 usuários. A confiabilidade do instrumento de coleta de dados, um survey, foi avaliada por meio do coeficiente Alpha de Cronbach, obtendo-se valor de 0,893, indicando alta confiabilidade. Resultados. Os resultados obtidos pelo teste Qui-quadrado, com nível de significância de 1%, demonstram que a estratégia de cloração da água tem efeitos diretos na qualidade de vida. Especificamente, observa-se que o valor x2Crítico &gt; x2Tablas, o que confirma que a cloração impacta tanto a qualidade de vida objetiva quanto subjetiva. Conclusão.
