Objetivo: determinar una alternativa viable que preserve el aumento el dorso nasal utilizando un implante blando rellenado con cartílago troceado, en pacientes con hundimiento leve a moderado del dorso osteocartilaginoso de origen postraumático. Se utiliza la técnica de cartílago troceado sobre pericondrio costal, porque evita la reabsorción de los injertos troceados a través del tiempo. Materiales y métodos: El estudio se realizó en una clínica de Lima, Perú, durante el año 2022 a 2023. Participaron 20 casos de pacientes entre las edades de 20 a 45 años, sometidos a aumento de dorso nasal con cartílago troceado retirado del cartílago costal. Los pacientes fueron evaluados en el tercer, sexto mes y al año post reconstrucción. Resultados: Se observó que la combinación de la técnica MIXING GRAFT, donde se usa cartílago autólogo troceado más pericondrio costal, se demostró en las mediciones de nasion, rinion y suprapunta de cada paciente manifestando alturas constantes a diferencia de la técnica del injerto troceado independiente, que obtuvo como resultado una disminución significativamente de la altura en el dorso nasal. Conclusiones: El uso de la técnica MIXING GRAFT brinda resultados más duraderos y constantes en los tres puntos evaluados, nasion, rinion, suprapunta. Es por ello que se recomienda su uso como alternativa para corregir hundimientos de dorso nasal de origen postraumático.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Currently, different surgical procedures have been developed for nasal dorsum reconstruction; among them, techniques may include autologous soft tissue grafts (temporal fascia) and autologous cartilage. Objective: To determine a viable alternative that preserves nasal dorsum augmentation using a soft implant filled with chopped cartilage in patients with mild to moderate post-traumatic osteocartilaginous dorsum subsidence. The technique of sliced cartilage on costal perichondrium is used because it avoids resorption of the sliced grafts over time. Materials and methods: The study was performed in a clinic in Lima, Peru, during the year 2022 to 2023. Twenty cases of patients between the ages of 20 to 45 years who underwent nasal dorsum augmentation with chopped cartilage removed from the costal cartilage participated. The patients were evaluated at the third, sixth month and one year post reconstruction. Results: It was observed that the combination of the MIXING GRAFT technique, where cut autologous cartilage plus costal perichondrium is used, was demonstrated in the measurements of nasion, rhinion and supraspinatus of each patient manifesting constant heights in contrast to the separate cut graft technique, which resulted in a significant decrease in the height of the nasal dorsum. Conclusions: The use of the MIXING GRAFT technique provides more durable and constant results in the three evaluated points, nasion, rhinion, supraspinatus. Therefore, its use is recommended as an alternative to correct posttraumatic nasal dorsal dorsum subsidence.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Atualmente, diferentes procedimentos cirúrgicos têm sido desenvolvidos para a reconstrução do dorso nasal; dentre eles, as técnicas podem incluir enxertos autólogos de tecidos moles (fáscia temporal) e cartilagem autóloga. Objetivo: Determinar uma alternativa viável que preserve o aumento do dorso nasal através de um implante macio preenchido com cartilagem cortada em pacientes com subsidência do dorso pós-traumática osteocartilaginosa ligeira a moderada. A técnica de cartilagem cortada no pericôndrio costal é utilizada porque evita a reabsorção dos enxertos cortados ao longo do tempo. Materiais e métodos: O estudo foi realizado numa clínica em Lima, Peru, durante o ano de 2022 a 2023. Participaram 20 casos de pacientes com idades entre 20 e 45 anos submetidos a aumento dorsal nasal com cartilagem cortada removida da cartilagem costal. Os pacientes foram avaliados aos três, seis meses e um ano após a reconstrução. Resultados: Observou-se que a combinação da técnica de MIXING GRAFT, utilizando cartilagem autóloga picada mais pericôndrio costal, demonstrou nas medidas do nasion, rinion e supra-espinhal de cada paciente alturas constantes, ao contrário da técnica de enxerto picado separado, que resultou em diminuição significativa da altura no dorso nasal. Conclusões: A utilização da técnica MIXING GRAFT proporciona resultados mais duradouros e constantes nos três pontos avaliados, nasion, rinion, supraspinatus. Por esse motivo, recomenda-se sua utilização como alternativa para a correção da subsidência do dorso nasal pós-traumática.]]></p></abstract>
