Por consiguiente, el objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar el nivel de contaminación del suelo causado por la presencia de residuos no deseados localizados en el cauce del río Ica durante la estación seca. La investigación se desarrolló mediante un enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance descriptivo, de tipo observacional, prospectivo y de corte transversal. Se realizaron monitoreos de suelos en cuatro puntos designados (P-01, P-02, P-03, P-04). Se colectaron muestras de un área de 23 metros de ancho por 30 metros de largo en cada punto de muestreo. Los metales pesados analizados registraron concentraciones promedio significativamente inferiores a los límites regulatorios. El arsénico presentó un promedio de 2.235 mg/kg, lo que equivale al 1.6% del estándar permitido (140 mg/kg). El bario alcanzó 160.075 mg/kg, apenas el 8% de su límite (2000 mg/kg). Por otro lado, el plomo mostró un promedio de 226.125 mg/kg (28.3% del umbral de 800 mg/kg). Finalmente, el cromo se mantuvo en 3.895 mg/kg (0.39% del estándar de 1000 mg/kg). Los análisis de metales pesados revelaron concentraciones detectables de arsénico, bario, plomo y cromo, las cuales, en su mayoría, no superaron los límites del Estándar de Calidad Ambiental (ECA). Estos resultados indicaron una presencia controlada de los contaminantes, sin riesgos inmediatos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Heavy metal pollution in riverbeds is serious due to its toxicity, persistence, and bioaccumulation, affecting ecosystems, human health, and causing irreversible damage. Therefore, the objective of this research was to determine the level of soil contamination caused by the presence of unwanted waste located in the Ica River bed during the dry season. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a descriptive scope, observational, prospective, and cross-sectional design. Soil monitoring was carried out at four designated points (P-01, P-02, P-03, P-04). Samples were collected from an area of 23 meters wide by 30 meters long at each sampling point. The analyzed heavy metals recorded average concentrations significantly below regulatory limits. Arsenic showed an average of 2.235 mg/kg, equivalent to 1.6% of the permitted standard (140 mg/kg). Barium reached 160.075 mg/kg, only 8% of its limit (2000 mg/kg). Lead averaged 226.125 mg/kg (28.3% of the 800 mg/kg threshold). Finally, chromium remained at 3.895 mg/kg (0.39% of the 1000 mg/kg standard). Heavy metal analyses revealed detectable concentrations of arsenic, barium, lead, and chromium, most of which did not exceed the Environmental Quality Standard (EQS) limits. These results indicated a controlled presence of pollutants, with no immediate risks.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO A contaminação por metais pesados no leito dos rios é grave devido à sua toxicidade, persistência e bioacumulação, afetando ecossistemas, saúde humana e causando danos irreversíveis. Portanto, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi determinar o nível de contaminação do solo causado pela presença de resíduos indesejados localizados no leito do rio Ica durante a estação seca. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida por meio de uma abordagem quantitativa, de escopo descritivo, observacional, prospectivo e de corte transversal. Foram realizados monitoramentos do solo em quatro pontos designados (P-01, P-02, P-03, P-04). Amostras foram coletadas em uma área de 23 metros de largura por 30 metros de comprimento em cada ponto de amostragem. Os metais pesados analisados registraram concentrações médias significativamente inferiores aos limites regulatórios. O arsênico apresentou uma média de 2,235 mg/kg, equivalente a 1,6% do padrão permitido (140 mg/kg). O bário atingiu 160,075 mg/kg, apenas 8% do seu limite (2000 mg/kg). O chumbo mostrou uma média de 226,125 mg/kg (28,3% do límite de 800 mg/kg). Finalmente, o cromo manteve-se em 3,895 mg/kg (0,39% do padrão de 1000 mg/kg). As análises de metais pesados revelaram concentrações detectáveis de arsênico, bário, chumbo e cromo, as quais, em sua maioria, não excederam os limites do Padrão de Qualidade Ambiental (PQA).
