Objetivo. Analizar la relación entre la contaminación agrícola por producto fitosanitarios en los cultivos de Cañete y su impacto en el medioambiente, el suelo, el agua y las plantas. Materiales y método. Se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño descriptivo, correlacional y no experimental, aplicando un cuestionario con preguntas cerradas a 100 agricultores para recopilar información sobre el uso de estos productos y sus posibles efectos en los cultivos. Asimismo, se evaluó el impacto ambiental asociado. Resultados. Se reveló que el 44% de los agricultores percibió una alta toxicidad por fitosanitarios, mientras que el 13% la vinculó exclusivamente con las áreas de cultivo. Los hallazgos del estudio resaltan la necesidad de implementar estrategias de manejo adecuado de fitosanitarios y promover prácticas agrícolas sostenibles, con el fin de mitigar los riesgos ambientales y sanitarios asociados a su uso. Estos resultados pueden servir como base para la creación de políticas públicas y capacitaciones dirigidas a los agricultores sobre el uso responsable de estos productos. Conclusiones. Se destacó que existieron diferentes percepciones sobre el impacto de estos productos, lo que resaltó la importancia de mejorar su manejo y fomentar prácticas agrícolas sostenibles para reducir los riesgos ambientales y sanitarios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Chemical phytosanitary products were used in agriculture to increase production and control pests; however, their intensive use caused considerable contamination that affected both the population and the environment. Objective. To analyze the relationship between agricultural contamination by phytosanitary products in the crops of Cañete and their impact on the environment, soil, water and plants. Materials and method. A quantitative approach with a descriptive, correlational and non-experimental design was used, applying a questionnaire with closed questions to 100 farmers to collect information on the use of these products and their possible effects on crops. The associated environmental impact was also evaluated. Results. It was revealed that 44% of the farmers perceived high toxicity due to phytosanitary products, while 13% linked it exclusively to crop areas. The findings of the study highlight the need to implement appropriate phytosanitary management strategies and promote sustainable agricultural practices in order to mitigate the environmental and health risks associated with their use. These results can serve as a basis for the creation of public policies and training for farmers on the responsible use of these products. Conclusions. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Produtos químicos para proteção de plantas foram usados na agricultura para aumentar a produção e controlar pragas; no entanto, seu uso intensivo levou a uma poluição considerável que afetou a população e o meio ambiente. Objetivo. Analisar a relação entre a contaminação agrícola por produtos fitossanitários nas lavouras de Cañete e seu impacto no meio ambiente, no solo, na água e nas plantas. Materiais e método. Foi utilizada uma abordagem quantitativa com desenho descritivo, correlacional e não experimental, aplicando um questionário com perguntas fechadas a 100 agricultores para coletar informações sobre o uso desses produtos e seus possíveis efeitos sobre as culturas. O impacto ambiental associado também foi avaliado. Resultados. Foi revelado que 44% dos agricultores perceberam a alta toxicidade dos produtos de proteção de culturas, enquanto 13% associaram-na exclusivamente às áreas de cultivo. Os resultados do estudo destacam a necessidade de implementar estratégias adequadas de gerenciamento de pesticidas e promover práticas agrícolas sustentáveis para mitigar os riscos ambientais e à saúde associados ao seu uso. Esses resultados podem servir de base para a criação de políticas públicas e treinamento para os agricultores sobre o uso responsável desses produtos. Conclusões.
