Se formaron un grupo testigo y tres grupos experimentales. El efecto toxicológico del piroxicam 1% se midió a través del Registro Mitótico (R.M.). El grupo Problema 1 mostró el mayor valor de R.M. (12.5±0.37%) al sumergir las raíces en A. vera L. El grupo Problema 2 presentó el menor valor (7.6±0.24%) al exponer las raíces al piroxicam. En el grupo Problema 3, donde las raíces se expusieron al piroxicam y a. vera L., el valor del R.M. (9.4±0.19%) no fue significativamente diferente al grupo testigo (p&gt;0.05). Aloe vera L. demostró un efecto antitóxico frente a la exposición de las raíces de Allium cepa L. al piroxicam al 1%.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The present research evaluated the antitoxic effect of Aloe vera L. against piroxicam in Allium cepa L. under a completely randomized experimental design. One control group and three experimental groups were formed. The toxicological effect of 1% piroxicam was measured through the Mitotic Registry (M.R.). Problem Group 1 showed the highest M.R. value (12.5±0.37%) when roots were immersed in A. vera L. Problem Group 2 presented the lowest value (7.6±0.24%) when roots were exposed to piroxicam. In Problem Group 3, where roots were exposed to both piroxicam and A. vera L., the M.R. value (9.4±0.19%) was not significantly different from the control group (p&gt;0.05). Aloe vero L. demonstrated an antitoxic effect against the exposure of Allium cepa L. roots to 1% piroxicam.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Neste estudo de pesquisa, a eficácia antitóxica do Aloe vera L. foi avaliada em face do piroxicam em relação à Allium cepa L., seguindo um design experimental completamente aleatório. Foram formados um grupo controle e três grupos experimentais. A eficácia tóxica do piroxicam a 1% foi medida através do Registro Mitótico (RM). O grupo Problema 1 apresentou o maior valor de RM (12,5 ± 0,37%) ao imersão as raízes em Aloe vera L. O grupo Problema 2 apresentou o menor valor (7,6 ± 0,24%) ao expô-las as raízes ao piroxicam. No grupo Problema 3, onde as raízes foram expostas ao piroxicam e ao Aloe vera L., o valor do RM (9,4 ± 0,19%) não apresentou diferença significativa em relação ao grupo controle (p &gt; 0,05).
