El objetivo del trabajo consistió en evaluar el comportamiento productivo del pasto Elefante (Cenchrus purpureus) con la aplicación de dosis de nitrógeno. Se realizó en el distrito de Belén, Departamento de Concepción, entre los meses de marzo a mayo del 2022. El diseño experimental que se utilizó fue el de bloques completos al azar, dispuesto en esquema factorial (2x5), el factor A correspondió a cultivares de pasto elefante (morado y verde), y el factor B la aplicación de dosis nitrógeno (0, 30, 60, 90 y 120 kg. ha-1), con tres repeticiones. Se evaluó altura de la planta, número de hojas, MV y MS. Los valores fueron sometidos a un análisis de varianza mediante el Test F y las medias, comparadas entre sí por el Test de Tukey al 5%. Los cultivares de pasto Elefante influyeron sobre las determinaciones de altura de planta a los 90 y 120 días después del brote. Las dosis de fertilizante nitrogenado tuvieron efectos positivos en todas las determinaciones evaluadas, mejor respuesta con 60 kg. ha-1 de N, la determinación número de hojas obtuvo mejores resultados con la dosis de 90 kg. ha-1 de N. Hubo interacción de los factores en las determinaciones altura de planta a los 90 y 120 días después del brote, resultó la mejor combinación el cultivar pasto elefante morado y la dosis de 60 kg. ha-1 N.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Among the benefits of fertilizing forages is an increase in nitrogen content, digestibility, plant height, density, leaf-to-stem ratio and greater biomass production. The objective of the work was to evaluate the productive behavior of Elephant grass (Cenchrus purpureus) with the application of nitrogen doses. It was carried out in the district of Belén, Department of Concepción, between the months of March and May 2022. The experimental design used was complete random blocks, arranged in a factorial scheme (2x5), factor A corresponded to cultivars. of elephant grass (purple and green), and factor B the application of nitrogen doses (0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 kg. ha-1), with three repetitions. Plant height, number of leaves, MV and MS were evaluated. The values were subjected to an analysis of variance using the F Test and the means were compared with each other using the Tukey Test at 5%. Elephant grass cultivars influenced plant height determinations at 90 and 120 days after emergence. The doses of nitrogen fertilizer had positive effects in all the determinations evaluated, better response with 60 kg. ha-1 of N, the determination of the number of leaves obtained better results with the dose of 90 kg. ha-1 of N. There was an interaction of the factors in plant height determinations at 90 and 120 days after emergence, the best combination was to cultivate purple elephant grass and the dose of 60 kg. ha-1 N.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Entre os benefícios da fertilização de forragens está o aumento do teor de nitrogênio, digestibilidade, altura das plantas, densidade, relação folha-caule e maior produção de biomassa. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o comportamento produtivo do capim-elefante (Cenchrus purpureus) com aplicação de doses de nitrogênio. Foi realizado no distrito de Belén, Departamento de Concepción, entre os meses de março e maio de 2022. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi de blocos aleatórios completos, dispostos em esquema fatorial (2x5), o fator A correspondeu às cultivares de capim elefante. (roxo e verde), e fator B a aplicação de doses de nitrogênio (0, 30, 60, 90 e 120 kg. ha-1), com três repetições. Foram avaliados altura de plantas, número de folhas, VM e MS. Os valores foram submetidos à análise de variância pelo Teste F e as médias foram comparadas entre si pelo Teste de Tukey a 5%. As cultivares de capim-elefante influenciaram as determinações da altura das plantas aos 90 e 120 dias após a emergência. As doses de fertilizante nitrogenado tiveram efeitos positivos em todas as determinações avaliadas, melhor resposta com 60 kg. ha-1 de N, a determinação do número de folhas obteve melhores resultados com a dose de 90 kg. ha-1 de N. Houve interação dos fatores na determinação da altura das plantas aos 90 e 120 dias após a emergência, a melhor combinação foi o cultivo de capim-elefante roxo e a dose de 60 kg. ha-1 de N.]]></p></abstract>
