El objetivo fue relacionar el síndrome de burnout con la autoconfianza en los catedráticos en una universidad de Perú en pandemia por COVID-19. Se realizó un estudio tipo básico bajo un diseño descriptivo, correlacional. Se trabajó con muestra aleatoria simple igual a 400 docentes encuestados. Se obtuvo como resultados en el análisis de la variable síndrome de burnout y la dimensión agotamiento emocional un nivel alto de 13.3%, respecto a la despersonalización que fue de 18.30% también con nivel alto, mientras que el 97.30% presentó un nivel medio de frustración personal. La correlación entre el Síndrome de Burnout y fue de -0.005. Se concluyó que existe una correlación débil entre las variables y es necesario mayores estudios para establecer que el burnout deba ser atendido por la institución universitaria.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Burnout syndrome can affect the health not only of teachers, but also of students. The objective was to relate burnout syndrome with self-confidence in professors at a Peruvian university in a COVID-19 pandemic. A basic study was carried out under a descriptive, correlational design. We worked with a simple random sample equal to 400 teachers surveyed. The results obtained in the analysis of the burnout syndrome variable and the emotional exhaustion dimension were a high level of 13.3%, with respect to depersonalization which was 18.30% also with a high level, while 97.30% presented a medium level of personal frustration. The correlation between Burnout Syndrome and was -0.005. It was concluded that there is a weak correlation between the variables and further studies are needed to establish that burnout should be addressed by the university institution.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO A síndrome de burnout pode afetar a saúde não só dos professores, mas também dos alunos. O objetivo foi relacionar a síndrome de burnout à autoconfiança em professores de uma universidade no Peru durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Foi realizado um estudo básico usando um projeto descritivo e correlacional. Trabalhamos com uma amostra aleatória simples de 400 professores pesquisados. Os resultados obtidos na análise da variável síndrome de burnout e da dimensão de exaustão emocional mostraram um nível alto de 13,3%, com relação à despersonalização, que também foi alta em 18,30%, enquanto 97,30% mostraram um nível médio de frustração pessoal. A correlação entre a síndrome de burnout e o burnout foi de -0,005. Concluiu-se que há uma correlação fraca entre as variáveis e que são necessários mais estudos para estabelecer que o burnout deve ser abordado pela instituição universitária.]]></p></abstract>
