Esta investigación cuenta con un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño transversal, correlacional causal y no experimental. La muestra estuvo constituida por 234 estudiantes, la cual fue extraída de una población de 500 estudiantes. La técnica empleada para el proceso de recolección de datos fue la encuesta, apoyándose en 3 instrumentos de escala ordinal de Likert para las variables en estudio, los que a su vez fueron sometidos a los respectivos análisis de confiabilidad por el Alfa de Cronbach y validado por juicio de expertos. Finalmente, los resultados obtenidos a través del modelo de regresión logística ordinal mostraron valores de Nagelkerke de 0.368, Wald superiores a 12.737 y un p-valor de 0.000, los cuales permitieron aceptar que la competencia digital y docente inciden de manera significativa en la formación investigativa en ingeniería de las telecomunicaciones de una universidad pública.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Observing the current changes in teaching methodologies and the virtualization of education, the present study aimed to establish the incidence of digital competence and teaching competence in research training in telecommunications engineering at a public university. This research has a quantitative approach, cross-sectional, causal correlational and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 234 students, which was drawn from a population of 500 students. The technique used for the data collection process was the survey, supported by 3 Likert ordinal scale instruments for the variables under study, which in turn were subjected to the respective reliability analysis by Cronbach's Alpha and validated by expert judgment. Finally, the results obtained through the ordinal logistic regression model showed Nagelkerke values of 0.368, Wald values higher than 12.737 and a p-value of 0.000, which allowed us to accept that digital and teaching competence have a significant impact on research training in telecommunications engineering at a public university.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Tendo em vista as mudanças atuais nas metodologias de ensino e a virtualização do ensino, o objetivo deste estudo foi estabelecer o impacto da competência digital e da competência docente no treinamento de pesquisa em engenharia de telecomunicações em uma universidade pública. Esta pesquisa tem uma abordagem quantitativa, transversal, correlacional causal e não-experimental. A amostra consistia de 234 estudantes, que foi retirada de uma população de 500 estudantes. A técnica utilizada para o processo de coleta de dados foi a pesquisa, apoiada por 3 instrumentos da escala ordinal Likert para as variáveis em estudo, que por sua vez foram submetidas à respectiva análise de confiabilidade pela Cronbach's Alpha e validadas pelo julgamento de especialistas. Finalmente, os resultados obtidos através do modelo de regressão logística ordinal mostraram valores Nagelkerke de 0,368, valores Wald superiores a 12,737 e um p-valor de 0,000, o que nos permitiu aceitar que a competência digital e docente tem um impacto significativo no treinamento de pesquisa em engenharia de telecomunicações em uma universidade pública.]]></p></abstract>
