La metodología se desarrolló bajo el enfoque cuantitativo con diseño descriptivo-correlacional. La población abarcó 8204 estudiantes de la cual se extrajo una muestra de 382 alumnos. Se utilizó un instrumento de tipo cuestionario para recolectar los datos, el cual fue validado y cuya confiabilidad resultó 0.86. El análisis de correlación de Spearman arrojó un valor de R=0.812 con un nivel de significancia p&lt;0.05, lo que indica una relación positiva muy fuerte y significativa. Sobre esta base se concluye que las IM intervienen en el progreso del desarrollo de competencias básicas en los estudiantes, debido a que las inteligencias múltiples realizan un aporte meritorio en la adquisición de las capacidades primordiales de los alumnos y es adaptable a cualquier ámbito educativo, en todos sus niveles académicos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The research focused on determining the relationship between multiple intelligences (MI) and the development of basic competencies in students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of Altiplano (UNA). The methodology was developed under the quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational design. The population comprised 8204 students from which a sample of 382 students was drawn. A questionnaire-type instrument was used to collect the data, which was validated and the reliability of which was 0.86. The Spearman correlation analysis showed a value of R=0,812 with a significance level p&lt;0.05, indicating a very strong and significant positive relationship. On this basis it is concluded that MI is involved in the progress of the development of basic competencies in students, because multiple intelligences make a worthwhile contribution to the acquisition of the primary abilities of the students and is adaptable to any educational setting, at all academic levels.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO A investigação centrou-se em determinar a relação entre as inteligências múltiplas (MI) e o desenvolvimento de competências básicas nos estudantes da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais da Universidade Nacional do Altiplano (UNA). A metodologia foi desenvolvida sob uma abordagem quantitativa com um desenho descritivo-correlacional. A população compreendia 8204 estudantes, dos quais foi retirada uma amostra de 382 estudantes. Foi utilizado um instrumento do tipo questionário para recolher os dados, o qual foi validado e considerado fiável em 0,86. A análise de correlação de Spearman produziu um valor de R=0,812 com um nível de significância de p&lt;0,05, indicando uma relação positiva muito forte e significativa. Nesta base, conclui-se que o IM está envolvido no progresso do desenvolvimento das competências básicas dos estudantes, porque as inteligências múltiplas contribuem meritoriamente para a aquisição das competências primárias dos estudantes e são adaptáveis a qualquer ambiente educativo, em todos os níveis académicos.]]></p></abstract>
