El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar qué factores sociocognitivos influyen en la intención de utilizar inteligencia artificial y tienen impacto en el rendimiento académico. En este estudio exploratorio se incluyeron las respuestas de 48 estudiantes de Ciencias Administrativas utilizando 31 ítems con una escala Likert de 5 puntos. En concreto, este estudio ha establecido que la ética tiene un efecto muy significativo sobre la autoeficacia y la motivación; además, las expectativas de resultados tienen un efecto muy significativo sobre la intención de uso y, esta última, sobre el rendimiento académico. Por tanto, esta investigación ha establecido que la ética, la autoeficacia, la motivación y las expectativas de resultados son muy buenos predictores de la intención de utilizar la Inteligencia Artificial y del rendimiento académico. Los efectos totales moderados y altamente significativos de la ética sobre todas las demás variables del modelo sugieren que es necesario estudiar con mayor énfasis el papel de la ética en la adopción de la Inteligencia Artificial y el rendimiento académico en la educación superior.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Social-cognitive theory has served as the framework for research in various areas of knowledge, including the adoption of technology. The objective of this research is to determine which social-cognitive factors influence the intention to use artificial intelligence and have an impact on academic performance. The responses of 48 Administrative Sciences students were included in this exploratory study using 31 items with a 5-point Likert scale. Specifically, this study has established that ethics has a highly significant effect on self-efficacy and motivation, moreover, outcome expectations have a highly significant effect on the intention to use, and, the latter on academic performance. Therefore, this research has established that ethics, self-efficacy, motivation and outcome expectations are very good predictors of the intention to use Artificial Intelligence and academic performance. The moderate and highly significant total effects of ethics on all other variables of the model suggest that it is necessary to study with greater emphasis the role of ethics in the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and academic performance in higher education.]]></p></abstract>
