La muestra no fue probabilística y tenía un total de 32 participantes de 18 a 28 años de edad, que eran estudiantes universitarios de la ciudad de La Paz, Bolivia. Se los dividió en dos grupos aleatoriamente conformados por un total de 16 estudiantes en cada uno. El grupo experimental escucho los pulsos binaurales, mientras que el grupo control escuchó el sonido control, obteniendo como datos las señales del Electrocardiograma y el Electroencefalograma, además de las respuestas del Maniquí de Autoevaluación (SAM) para conocer sus percepciones emocionales con respecto a los estímulos. Asimismo, se elaboraron dos modelos de clasificación con Machine Learning relacionados al estrés. Los resultados no mostraron diferencias significativas entre ambos grupos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The present research aimed to determine if alpha binaural beats reduce stress levels induced by a virtual reality situation in comparison with a control group in a sample of university students. The sample was non-probabilistic and had a total of 32 participants between 18 and 28 years of age, who were university students from the city of La Paz, Bolivia. They were randomly divided into two groups with a total of 16 students in each group. The experimental group listened to the binaural pulses, while the control group listened to the control sound, obtaining as data the Electrocardiogram and Electroencephalogram signals, in addition to the responses of the Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) to know their emotional perceptions with respect to the stimuli. Two stress-related classification models were also developed with Machine Learning. The results showed no significant differences between the two groups.]]></p></abstract>

A amostra era não-probabilística e tinha um total de 32 participantes entre 18 e 28 anos de idade, que eram estudantes universitários da cidade de La Paz, Bolívia. Eles foram divididos aleatoriamente em dois grupos com um total de 16 alunos em cada grupo. O grupo experimental ouviu os pulsos binaurais, enquanto o grupo de controle ouviu o som de controle, obtendo como dados o eletrocardiograma e os sinais de eletroencefalograma, além das respostas do Manequim de Auto-Avaliação (SAM) para conhecer suas percepções emocionais com respeito aos estímulos. Dois modelos de classificação relacionados ao estresse também foram desenvolvidos com o Machine Learning. Os resultados não mostraram diferenças significativas entre os dois grupos.]]></p></abstract>
