Nuestras proyecciones para 2050 revelan una tendencia preocupante, indicando que el área de distribución disminuirá entre 37% y 40%, según estimaciones basadas en mapas de uso de suelo y datos municipales, respectivamente. Esta reducción afectará la disponibilidad de hábitats adecuados, comprometiendo la viabilidad de la especie a largo plazo. Nuestros hallazgos destacan la necesidad urgente de implementar estrategias de conservación efectivas y fortalecer la colaboración entre autoridades locales y actores clave para mitigar los efectos de la urbanización.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract We assessed the impact of urban expansion in the Valle de La Paz (Bolivia) and its implications for the conservation of Liolaemus aparicioi. Our projections for 2050 reveal a concerning trend, indicating that the species' distribution area will decrease by 37% to 40%, according to estimates based on land use maps and municipal data, respectively. This reduction will affect the availability of suitable habitats, compromising the species' long-term viability. Our findings highlight the urgent need to implement effective conservation strategies and strengthen collaboration between local authorities and key stakeholders to mitigate the effects of urbanization.]]></p></abstract>
