<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.bo/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1012-29662025000100090&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.bo/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1012-29662025000100090&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.bo/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1012-29662025000100090&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Objetivos:  evaluar el efecto del consumo del producto Natural Nutracéutico a base de Amaranto (Amaranthus eaudatus), Quinua (Chenopodium quinoa) y Tarwi (Lupinus mutabilis), (AQT) sobre los niveles séricos de sodio, potasio y ácido úrico como indicadores para alcanzar la homeostasia en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 (DM2), sobrepeso e hipertensión arterial.  Métodos:  El presente trabajo es un ensayo clínico preliminar, controlado, cuantitativo, aleatorio prospectivo en paralelo al proyecto de investigación propiedad medicinales productos nutracéuticos naturales como tratamiento en diabetes y/o sobrepeso de la ciudad de La Paz y El Alto, fase 2 en la gestión 2019.  Resultados:  los pacientes con DM2 presentaron niveles séricos de ácido úrico significativamente más altos en comparación con el grupo control (*p&lt;0,05; 95% de confianza). Sin embargo, después del consumo del nutracéutico AQT, no se observaron alteraciones significativas en los niveles sanguíneos de sodio y potasio. En cambio, los niveles séricos de ácido úrico disminuyeron, lo que sugiere una mejora en la homeostasia del mismo.  Conclusiones:  El consumo del producto AQT no genera efectos adversos en los niveles séricos de sodio, potasio y ácido úrico, ya que ninguno de estos niveles se incrementó ni disminuyó en pacientes con DM2, sobrepeso e hipertensión arterial.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Objectives:  to evaluate the effect of the consumption of the Natural Nutraceutical product based on Amaranth (Amaranthus caudatus), Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa), and Tarwi (Lupinus mutabilis) (AQT) on serum levels of sodium, potassium, and uric acid as indicators for achieving homeostasis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, overweight, and hypertension.  Methods: this study is a preliminary, controlled, quantitative, randomized, prospective clinical trial conducted in parallel with the research project on medicinal properties of natural nutraceutical products as treatment for diabetes and/or overweight in the cities of La Paz and El Alto, phase 2 in the year 2019.  Results:  Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus exhibited significantly higher serum levels of uric acid compared to the control group (*p&lt;0.05; 95% confidence). However, after the consumption of the AQT nutraceutical, no significant alterations were observed in blood levels of sodium and potassium. In contrast, serum levels of uric acid decreased, suggesting an improvement in its homeostasis.  Conclusions:  The consumption of the AQT product does not generate adverse effects on serum levels of sodium, potassium, and uric acid, as none of these levels increased or decreased in patients with type 2 diabetes, overweight, and hypertension.]]></p></abstract>
