La investigación analizó la influencia del uso del AutoCAD en el desarrollo de competencias técnicas y en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de una universidad pública de Huancayo. Se aplicó un enfoque cuasiexperimental y cuantitativo, analizando relaciones entre variables. Participaron 124 estudiantes divididos en grupo control y experimental cada uno de 62 estudiantes. Durante 16 semanas, el grupo experimental empleó AutoCAD, mientras que el control usó métodos tradicionales. Los datos revelaron avances relevantes en el grupo que empleó AutoCAD, con mejoras notables en sus calificaciones y dominio de tareas prácticas. El estudio confirma que esta herramienta potencia tanto las competencias técnicas como el rendimiento en el aula, posicionándose como un recurso valioso para la formación en ingeniería.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study was conducted in a context where digital tools are increasingly shaping university education, spurred by the pandemic and the need to modernize engineering drawing instruction. The research examined how using AutoCAD impacts technical skill development and academic performance among students at a public university in Huancayo. A quasi-experimental quantitative approach was applied to analyze variable relationships. The study involved 124 students split into control and experimental groups (62 each). Over 16 weeks, the experimental group used AutoCAD, while the control group followed traditional drafting methods. Data revealed substantial progress in the AutoCAD group, with marked grade improvements and enhanced hands-on task proficiency. The findings confirm that this software enhances both technical skills and classroom performance, proving to be a valuable resource for engineering education.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO Este estudo foi realizado num cenário em que as ferramentas digitais vêm ganhando espaço no ensino superior, impulsionado pela pandemia e pela necessidade de modernizar o ensino do desenho técnico. A pesquisa analisou a influência do uso do AutoCAD no desenvolvimento de competências técnicas e no desempenho acadêmico de estudantes de uma universidade pública em Huancayo. Utilizou-se uma abordagem quase-experimental quantitativa, analisando relações entre variáveis. Participaram 124 estudantes, divididos em grupo de controle e experimental (62 cada). Durante 16 semanas, o grupo experimental utilizou o AutoCAD, enquanto o grupo de controle seguiu métodos tradicionais de desenho. Os dados revelaram avanços significativos no grupo que usou o software, com melhorias notáveis nas notas e na proficiência em tarefas práticas.
