El objetivo fue evaluar la dinámica poblacional de las principales plagas en limón y sus parasitoides en las localidades de Colón y Riochico, provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. Las muestras recolectadas fueron analizadas con el software R V3.4.2. Se realizaron análisis bivariantes comparando la población de plagas y sus parasitoides por localidades, verificando el supuesto de normalidad, se empleó la prueba t de muestras independientes y se realizó análisis de correlación de Pearson para las poblaciones de plagas y sus parasitoides. Se identificaron en dos localidades cinco especies de parasitoides: Encarsia nigricephala (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) y Eretmocerus sp. (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) correspondieron a A. floccosus; Aphidius sp. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) con Diaretus sp. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) se encontraron en T. aurantii; y A. citrícola Logvinovskaya (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae para P. citrella. Entre P. citrella y A. citricola no existió correlación en las localidades evaluadas. Para la jurisdicción de Riochico se alcanzó correlación significativa de -0.706 entre A. floccosus y E. nigricephala. En la localidad de Colón, se observó correlación directa significativa de 0.672 entre los parasitoides E. nigricephala y Eretmocerus sp. Además, se obtuvo correlación con significancia entre la población de T. aurantii y el parasitoide Diaretus sp. cuyo valor fue de -0.624 para la localidad de Riochico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Ecuador has reported as main insect pests in lemon: Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae), Aleurothrixus floccosus Maskel (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), Toxoptera aurantii Boyer de Fonscolombe (Homoptera: Aphididae); natural enemies of these pests, is presented as an alternative for biological control. The objective was to assess the population dynamics of the main lemon pests and their parasitoids in the towns of Colón and Riochico, province of Manabí, Ecuador. The collected samples were analyzed with the R software V3.4.2. Bivariate analyzes were carried out comparing the population of pests and their parasitoids by localities, the assumption of normality was verified with Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests for the total number of individuals of pest populations and the percentage of parasitoids, the independent samples t-test was used and Pearson's correlation analysis was performed for the populations of pests and their parasitoids. Five species of parasitoids were identified in two localities: Encarsia nigricephala (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) and Eretmocerus sp. (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) corresponded to A. floccosus; Aphidius sp. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) with Diaretus sp. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) were found in T. aurantii; and A. citrícola Logvinovskaya (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) for P. citrella. There was no correlation between P. citrella and A. citricola in the localities evaluated.
