I do not know if I am wrong in this comment, but it is very necessary to point out that the scientific publications after the pandemic that we have lived and felt in different ways made that now, publications an imperative need for society as a whole because relevant information is needed to address the issues inherent to problems that occur every day.
But what should be published, the possible answers will be, topics that society needs to solve problems, but a magazine cannot do everything, each magazine has a defined line and the or those who are looking for information should consult one of their interest, do not you think, and each magazine does its work according to its focus and scope with which it was created, also a magazine will not solve the problems, but it becomes a means of information that contributes to giving guidelines according to the type of unpublished publications, thus, the edition would be a subject of increasing change, and that scientific information will always be changing, and research, was, is and will be the engine of change for a society that consults data that will help it to generate policies in health, education, environment, technology, and others.
In a clear sense, a magazine and since ink and paper were born, were and are documents of dissemination and will be the media, and today that we are in the era of digitization its spectrum of dissemination increased enormously, there are no borders for information, now the dynamics of information has become the tool for mass dissemination, and with the use of electronic devices, one has access to information, if we add to that the open access, the information is available to any society, once published an issue, globally.
Then a question arises, what to do with so much information, that day after day, hour after hour is generated, the answer would be, depending on the type of information you are looking for, your area of expertise or need, you will have a wide range of articles, books, reports, etc., that you can choose to conclude and to what extent these are useful to solve your problems or generate research projects, development, technology in the areas of health, education, environment, food security, biotechnology, and others.
As you can see now the publication is not just publishing for the sake of publishing, it requires useful information, do not forget that research also has its different levels and each of these makes its contribution, it is clear that its usefulness is varied, and we can not only do applied research, it is also necessary to perform pure research, basic, as these will be to the extent that it is performed, a thermometer of the quality and relevance of that human resource formed in a university, research center, institute, department, etc., that seeks to find a solution to a problem that is affecting or is of uncertain origin.
Finally, research is associated with publication and the research that is carried out and is not socialized, that is, if it is not made public it does not exist, this statement is so important, and it would be absurd to say that I did research in..., but there is no publication, everything is published. but there is no publication, all the effort that was made would come to nothing, and its visibility, citation, impacts, and other bibliometric indicators, would not give it a place, in short, if research is done, publication is necessary and this will be the subject of debate in the consensus groups, researchers, scientists and others who will analyze and give their opinion of how it is or is not, do not you think.
