Resumen

MAMANI MARON, Beatriz Vilma et al. Socioeconomic Factors and Aggression against Women in Family Groups. Rev. Simón Rodríguez [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.10, pp.29-36.  Epub 15-Ago-2025. ISSN 3006-1385.  https://doi.org/10.62319/simonrodriguez.v.5i10.43.

This study analyzes the incidence of socioeconomic factors in aggressions against women and family group members among users of the Immediate Assistance Unit for Victims and Witnesses of San Román-Juliaca during July-September 2024. A quantitative approach with non-experimental design and hypothetical-deductive method was employed. The sample included 100 victims selected through non-probabilistic sampling. Data were collected through documentary review using a socioeconomic guide. Statistical analysis employed Pearson’s Chi-square test. Results showed significant incidence of socioeconomic factors in aggressions (X² = 63.966, p = 0.001), confirming that victims with lower socioeconomic status present higher risk of violence. It is concluded that socioeconomic vulnerability constitutes a determining factor in the perpetuation of gender-based violence.
