Job performance constitutes a critical factor for competitiveness and sustainability of the construction sector globally. This study conducted a bibliometric analysis on the evolution of job performance in construction companies through systematic review of the Scopus database during 2013-2023. A total of 208 articles meeting established inclusion and exclusion criteria were identified. Results revealed that China leads scientific production with 47 articles, followed by the United States (44) and Australia (28). The year 2022 recorded the highest production with 34 publications. McCabe stood out as the most cited author with 319 citations. Most research employed quantitative approaches, concentrating on engineering and management areas. Predominant themes included occupational safety, worker satisfaction, and psychosocial risk factors. This research demonstrates growing academic interest in optimizing job performance in construction, linked to business concern for human resources, motivation, evaluation, staff retention, and occupational safety in a sector characterized by high physical demands and occupational risks.
