Risk communication is a process for exchanging information while keeping the population prepared to respond to emergency situations. The objective was to analyze scientific production in databases such as Scielo, WoS and Scopus from 2020 to 2024 on risk communication in public health. To carry out the research, a descriptive systematic review was used, reviewing 38 articles from various countries. The results show that the most researched categories were the importance of social networks, government communication and risk communication management. Concluding in the need to strengthen social networks, promote transparency and leadership of authorities to build citizen trust.
