The Institutional Strategic Plan is a management document that captures the main lines of action for healthcare management. The objective of this study is to determine the characteristics of strategic planning at Dos de Mayo Hospital in Lima for the period until 2022. The approach is quantitative, descriptive, and non-experimental. A 20-item questionnaire with Likert-scale responses was used. The non-probability convenience sample consisted of 80 employees. The results reveal that Dos de Mayo Hospital has made progress in conceptualizing its strategic direction; however, execution and feedback need to be strengthened. Furthermore, the consolidation of Results-Based Management and Information Systems are essential, and attention must be paid to the maturity of Monitoring and Evaluation. It is concluded that the hospital's strategic planning presents a varied level of implementation across its dimensions. It is noteworthy that the Medium-Term Sectoral Vision has reached a predominantly implemented phase.
