ORCO DIAZ, Alipio; COACALLA CASTILLO, Carlos Enrique y RODRIGUEZ CRUZ, William. Labor market insertion of political science graduates in peruvian public universities: A comparative study. Impulso [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.10, pp.1-17. Epub 03-Abr-2025. ISSN 2959-9040. https://doi.org/10.59659/impulso.v.5i10.97.
The objective of the study was to describe the labor market insertion of graduates in Political Science from public universities in Peru in 2022. A descriptive approach and a cross-sectional design were adopted, with a sample of 160 graduates. The findings indicate that 50% of the graduates present a low level of insertion, 43% a medium level and only 7% reach a high level. There was evidence of a low correspondence between the employment obtained and the academic training, which affects job satisfaction and generates a high search for new opportunities. In addition, working conditions are suboptimal for a significant percentage of graduates, which reflects structural barriers to their incorporation into the market. It is concluded that it is necessary to strengthen the labor market insertion mechanisms and improve the articulation between university education and market demands.
