Innovation in business management models is relevant in an environment characterized by rapid and disruptive changes. This literature review focuses on the trends, challenges, and opportunities that shape this field, emphasizing the need to adapt to the new market dynamics. The objectives are to identify the trends driving innovation, examine the main obstacles, and explore emerging opportunities and best practices. Using a qualitative approach, previous research was collected, analyzed, and synthesized. The results highlight that the most significant trends are digitalization, sustainability, personalization, and improving customer experience. However, important challenges, such as technological and cultural barriers, are identified. The conclusion describes that emerging opportunities focus on leveraging digital platforms, advanced technologies, circular models, and strategic alliances, all essential elements to foster business innovation and address current challenges.
