Internal communication is an essential element for the proper functioning of an entity or company, since it facilitates effective coordination and integration between workers with the objective of achieving the organization's goals. In this context, the purpose of the research carried out was to evaluate internal communication as a strategy within human resources management in a public institution in Peru. The study is framed as a non-experimental research, with a simple descriptive design and quantitative approach. The study population was made up of 52 workers, and a non-probabilistic census sample was used, which covered the entire population. The instrument used was a questionnaire to evaluate internal communication, and the data analysis was carried out using simple statistics through tables, figures and frequencies. According to the results obtained, it is observed that 44.2% of workers evaluate internal communication positively, 40.4% consider it regular and 15.4% rate it as low. Based on these conclusions, the importance of organizations, especially State entities, establishing solid strategies and planning in relation to internal communication policies is highlighted. This strategic approach can significantly contribute to improving coordination, cohesion and overall performance of the institution.
