Social skills allow students to maintain a harmonious relationship within the academic classroom; for this reason, they benefit the peaceful coexistence of high school students. The objective of this study was to determine the incidence of social skills in the peaceful coexistence of high school students in an educational institution in Lima. The research was of a basic type, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design of causal correlational level. The sample consisted of 100 students who were chosen by means of purposive probability sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire for each of the study variables. The results showed that social skills have an impact on the peaceful coexistence of students, allowing them to have an assertive communication and interaction with their peers, thus enabling academic development.
