Vocation is a dynamic process that develops and transforms throughout the life cycle. Adolescence represents a decisive stage, since it is when fundamental decisions are made for the professional trajectory. The objective of this study was to analyze the differences in the level of vocational development between university students in the first and tenth cycles. The research adopted a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, descriptive and comparative design. The sample consisted of 190 students, of whom 90 were in the first cycle and 100 in the tenth cycle. The instrument used was the Vocational Development Questionnaire. The results indicated that tenth cycle students present significantly higher levels of vocational development compared to first cycle students. It is concluded that the university trajectory contributes to the strengthening of competencies and attitudes associated with vocational development.
