Artificial intelligence (AI) is a tool based on the processing of information generated by data found on internet servers, used in many areas such as higher education. This research seeks to explore and understand the impact that AI has on university students. The work has been carried out under a systematic review, using a qualitative route, a bibliographic review of the literature, with databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Scielo. As a result, the use of AI is important for the academic development of students, making appropriate use of it in any of their processes without transgressing ethical and moral aspects. In conclusion, pedagogical models do not involve the use of AI, while students do take it into account when carrying out their academic work.
