CASTRO-VARGAS, Cristian y CABANA-CACERES, Maritza. Embedded Systems and Active Learning: Bridging Theory and Practice in the Teaching of Digital Electronics. Tribunal [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.13, pp.208-219. Epub 02-Oct-2025. ISSN 2959-6513. https://doi.org/10.59659/revistatribunal.v5i13.265.
This study analyzes the effect of project-based learning using embedded systems in digital electronics education among university students. A quasi-experimental, mixed-method approach was applied to a sample of 40 students divided into experimental and control groups. The intervention involved the use of Arduino and ESP32 to develop practical projects. Results indicate significant improvements in theoretical understanding, motivation, and practical skills within the experimental group. Qualitative analysis revealed positive perceptions regarding the connection between theory and practice. It is concluded that this approach effectively promotes technical competencies in university-level engineering education.
