The research addresses aspects of citizen participation regarding the management of complaints about the detection of alleged irregularities, considered as objective to determine the influence between citizen participation and the management of complaints, considering as a research method a basic type, of quantitative approach and explanatory level, with a cross-sectional and a hypothetical deductive method, obtaining as results that 80.3% consider that citizen participation is carried out inefficiently, in the same way that between these variables there is a significance of 0.000 and a Nagelkerke Pseudo R square value of 0.744. Concluding that citizen participation influences 74.4% in the management of complaints about alleged irregular events, denoting that to the extent that citizens are better trained on their rights and duties of citizen control, they could exercise said right in accordance with the relevant regulatory frameworks.
