Andragogical strategies are fundamental in higher education because they foster a positive learning environment. The study focused on analyzing andragogy as a strategy for professional development in higher education teaching. The IMRyD methodology was used, and the PRISMA protocol was implemented based on the article type to facilitate the search and selection of studies, as well as the extraction of data from ProQuest and EBSCOhost. As a result of the filtering and shortlisting procedures, the analysis focused on 10 studies that met the inclusion criteria from 2020 to 2024. The analysis of scientific production focused on four indicators: Andragogy, Teaching Styles, Teaching Strategies, and the Impact of Andragogy on Professional Development, in which points of agreement were demonstrated. The importance of the effectiveness of andragogical strategies in higher education is concluded.
