Socioemotional development is a process oriented to the acquisition of skills interrelated to emotional intelligence and harmonious coexistence, which affects the formation of personality and emotional stability of individuals. The objective of the study is to determine how the socioemotional development program seeks to improve resilience in high school students of an educational institution. A quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental design were used with 28 students, divided into observation and application groups. A questionnaire was applied to evaluate resilience levels. The results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, applying the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, which showed nonparametric data. The results show that the implementation of the program represents an effective alternative to improve resilience in schoolchildren. It is concluded that the implementation and execution of the social-emotional development program contribute significantly to improve students' resilience.
