Educational quality permits the holistic development in basic education, integrating essential values, knowledge, and skills. This article aims to describe the factors that contribute to the educational quality at this level. The PRISMA method was applied, analyzing 13 selected studies from the Scielo, ProQuest, and EbscoHost databases. The inclusion criteria were limited to publications between 2020 and 2023, excluding those not available in full text. The search was conducted using descriptors such as "educational quality" and boolean operators like AND and OR. To present the results, tables and graphs were used to summarize the information and facilitate the comparison of findings. The results reveal factors that influence educational quality and improve student performance. In conclusion, valuable information is provided to guide strategic decisions for strengthening the educational system, adapting to the current needs of students.
