Effective communication and leadership are interconnected concepts that play a crucial role in the management and development of organizations, including educational institutions. Hence, the objective of this research was to identify the most effective communication strategies to improve leadership in Latin American schools by developing a systematic review in Latin America. A quantitative approach was used for the development of the research, which had a descriptive scope and retrospective longitudinal design. The PRISMA 2020 guidelines were followed, for which a review of the works published in the SciELO and Scopus databases was carried out. Literature on Effective Communication Management was found in Scopus and SciELO, in a total of 430 articles, journals and theses, of which 223 are from Scopus and 207 from SciELO. Of this total of articles, 400 works were excluded only by reviewing the titles and abstracts in analogy with the topic to be investigated. From the analysis of the 30 articles and a reading of the text, 12 works were excluded for not having a correlation with effective communication, leaving 18 articles included in the research. It is concluded that effective communication is presented as a fundamental tool for management and pedagogical leadership, establishing a direct relationship between these study variables.
