QUINONES LI, Aura Elisa; QUINONES VERNAZZA, César Augusto; SIFUENTES PINTO, Nilsa e MELGAR BEGAZO, Arturo Eduardo. The role of the State in the prevention of femicide in Peru. Tribunal [online]. 2024, vol.4, n.9, pp.282-300. Epub 25-Out-2024. ISSN 2959-6513. https://doi.org/10.59659/revistatribunal.v4i9.77.
The main objective of the research was to examine the role of the State in the prevention of feminicide in the Peruvian context. To address this purpose, a qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach was used, which included a bibliometric analysis based on the review and evaluation of 23 relevant scientific articles.
The key results highlighted the need for a deep commitment by the State to address the structures of gender violence and improve the prevention of feminicide in the country. Despite the progress identified, significant challenges persist, such as insufficient financial resources and the urgency of better integration of available data. In this sense, it is concluded that the State must redouble its efforts by allocating adequate resources and forming strategic alliances, with the aim of implementing a comprehensive approach that addresses both the obvious manifestations of violence and its socio-cultural roots.
