Environmental awareness is defined as a set of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that enable individuals to understand the relationship between their actions and the natural environment. The objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of experiential workshops in the development of environmental awareness in Primary school teacher. The methodology had a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental design, with a control group and an experimental group, in which 12 experiential learning sessions were conducted, combining theoretical and practical activities. The results showed significant improvements in the environmental awareness of the teachers in the experimental group, also in each of its dimensions: cognitive, affective, conative and active, especially in the latter. The conclusions indicate that the experiential workshops are effective for greater environmental awareness and commitment among teachers, suggesting their implementation to promote sustainable school practices.
