Psychological well-being and school coexistence in high school students are concurrent factors in the learning process and the development of basic skills in the socio-educational context affecting the achievement of essential competencies in schoolchildren. Objective: To determine the relationship between psychological well-being and school coexistence in high school students in the city of Lima. Methods and materials: This quantitative research is of a correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling was used, with a population of 860 high school students and a sample of 631 students from the second to the fifth grade of secondary school, who presented their duly signed informed consent before the application of the instruments. For the first variable, the BIEPS-J Scale for young people and adolescents, whose author is María Martina Casullo, was used; for the second variable, the School Coexistence Scale (ECE), whose authors are Rosario Del Rey; José Antonio Casas; Rosario Ortega Ruiz. The statistical test used was Spearman's correlation coefficient to establish the correlation between the variables and their dimensions. Results: The moderate positive correlation in the different dimensions (control: rho=0.473, bonds: rho=0.451, projects: rho=0.353, acceptance: rho=0.353) reinforces the idea that psychological aspects of well-being influence school coexistence dynamics. Conclusions: The results conclude that, psychological well-being is not an isolated concept, but is a determining factor in the quality of school coexistence.
