Venous insufficiency is a prevalent pathology worldwide, given the uncomfortable symptomatology it can cause, it is necessary to perform a conservative or surgical approach; humanized care is part of the post-surgical patient's recovery, it seeks to rescue the relationship of trust and empathy between the patient and the nursing professional. Objective. To evaluate the humanized care provided by the nursing staff in saphenectomized patients treated at the Hospital General Riobamba "IESS". Materials and methods. A quantitative, descriptive, retrospective, retrospective, observational study was carried out with a total population of 56 saphenectomized patients, who with prior informed consent participated in the study; for the collection of information, the survey was used as a technique, and as an instrument the questionnaire Perception of Humanized Care, made up of three variables: communication, quality and disposition of care; the process was carried out through the GoogleForms application. Results. The first dimension shows that 64.3% of patients always responded to humanistic and altruistic values; the second dimension, corresponding to the installation of faith and hope, 53.6% of patients responded almost always; the third dimension, cultivating sensitivity towards oneself and others, 37.5% of patients responded almost always; the fourth dimension, developing a relationship of humane care of help and trust, 23.2% responded almost always. Conclusions. Saphenectomized patients belonging to the surgical hospitalization service of the General Hospital Riobamba were found to enjoy humanized nursing care.
