ARAUJO GUILLEN, Litman Renee et al. Proposed environmental management model for the sustainable protection of degraded ecosystems. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2025, vol.9, n.26, pp.350-367.  Epub 05-Mayo-2025. ISSN 2664-0902.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistaalfa.v9i26.351.

The preservation of ecosystems is a global priority in the face of climate change, not only for their beauty or biodiversity, but also for their role in key economic sectors such as agriculture. Therefore, what are the causes of environmental problems in this sector, and how can these be addressed through environmental management? The objective is to evaluate how environmental management can sustainably protect the degraded ecosystem in the Ñagazú area, Sector I, Villa Rica, Oxapampa, Pasco, Peru, through ecological restoration strategies adapted to its specific conditions. To this end, stakeholders were identified to establish the organizational structure for environmental management, with the application of direct surveys for the development of an environmental diagnosis. This led to the development of a policy and action plan, and a proposal for monitoring prioritized actions and an ordinance for approval by the local government. The conclusion is that the conservation, protection, and recovery of natural resources and the restoration of degraded ecosystems can be addressed through effective environmental management. Emphasizing the importance of having an organizational structure with the participation of stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as the organized civil society, where a participatory and interactive process is the basis for successful implementation of the commitments made. Furthermore, a monitoring model must be established to track the commitments made.
